2003 Materials Archive
In 2003, the National Co-op Month Planning
Committee conducted a national, statistically representative survey
of more than 2,000 adult consumers to measure their perceptions
of cooperatives relative to publicly traded corporations, and their
preferences for doing business with them. The survey which found
consumers trust co-ops more than other types of businesses led to
the 2003 Co-op Month theme: "Co-ops: Businesses People Trust."
The overwhelmingly positive survey results
were promoted by cooperatives to the media, their members and to
the public. Below you’ll find an archive of materials related
to the 2003 survey, including detailed results, press releases,
sample documents, messages, tips and other materials that help promote
the theme of Businesses People Trust.
